Alabanda – Çine, Aydın
Alabanda is an important Carian city whose name means "Horse Victory" in the Carian language (Ala: Horse, Banda: Victory). According to legend, it was founded by the hero Alabandos who won a horse race.
The city was known for its wealth and luxurious lifestyle. It is famous for its black marble.
