Gerga – Çine, Aydın
Gerga is a mysterious Carian city located in the Deliktaş area of Çine, Aydın. The most striking feature of the city is the inscription "GERGAS" found on many buildings and rocks in Greek. This name is thought to belong to a local deity or the city's founder.
Inhabited from the Archaic period to the Roman period, the city is built in a mountainous area among rocks.
