Yeşilova Mound – Bornova, Izmir

Yeşilova Mound is the oldest known settlement in Izmir. Its history dates back 8,500 years (Neolithic Age). This discovery pushed back the history of Izmir much further than previously thought.

Excavations have revealed 8 layers of settlement. The site also features a Visitor Center and a Neolithic Village reconstruction for visitors.
