Phaselis Ancient City – Kemer, Antalya

Phaselis was founded in the 7th century BC by Rhodian colonists and was the most important port city on the eastern coast of Lycia. Possessing three separate harbors (North, Battle, and South Harbor), the city remained a strategic trade center throughout history.

Located where pine forests meet the sea, the city is notable for its aqueducts, agoras, and theatre. It is known that Alexander the Great spent a winter here.
