Iasos (Iassos) – Kıyıkışlacık, Muğla
Iasos, on a peninsula at Kıyıkışlacık near Milas, was a Carian harbor city famed for its fisheries and marble. Founded in the Bronze Age and later a member of the Delian League, it flourished in Hellenistic and Roman times. Remains include a fortified acropolis, agora with market hall (macellum), bouleuterion, theater, temple podiums, Roman baths, harbor moles, rich necropolis finds, and late antique basilicas. Mosaicked houses and inscriptions attest to prosperity and civic life across centuries.
