Lysias – Şuhut, Afyonkarahisar

Lysias is an ancient city located near the Şuhut district of Afyonkarahisar (around Oynar Village). Believed to have been founded in the Hellenistic period, the city gained importance as a bishopric center during the Roman and Byzantine eras.

Most of the city's ruins are underground or lie beneath modern settlements. Some architectural fragments and inscriptions can be seen on the surface.
