Herakleia (Latmos) – Milas, Muğla
Herakleia is a fascinating Carian city located on the shores of Lake Bafa (ancient Latmian Gulf), at the foot of the Beşparmak Mountains (Latmos). It is intertwined with Kapıkırı Village.
The city is known in mythology as the place where the shepherd Endymion, loved by the Moon Goddess Selene, lived. It is famous for its walls integrated with massive rocks and its natural beauty.
